Lou Taylor started his early life in sunny Miami, Florida. He reflects fondly of his time growing up enjoying the warm climate that southern Florida offers, then his family picked up and moved to the frozen tundra of Alaska when he was a teenager. This was just the beginning of a life of extremes.
The aviation bug hit Lou early in life, but he didn’t realize his dreams until he graduated high school and became an A&P. Since 1982 Lou has worked on a plethora of aircraft ranging from Twin Otters to the Gulfstream G650. Though Lou has an expansive knowledge of many makes and models, he has always had a fondness for the King Air aircraft, quickly becoming the “go to guy” for the King Air brand.
26 Years Experience
Working on the Beechcraft King Air
Lou has 26 years of experience on the Beechcraft King Air. He attended the five-week Beechcraft Aerospace school and has traveled extensively throughout the world training technicians, rigging flight controls and performing Hot Section Inspections (HSI) on the Pratt & Whitney PT-6 engine line.
Lou brings with him to Apex Aviation, not only his astounding technical knowledge, but an incredible work ethic coupled with top-notch customer service. His presence on the floor as a Lead has earned him the respect of his peers, and as a role-model, he has helped to encourage other technicians to be the best that they can be.
On top of his responsibility as Lead Technician, Lou will also be heading up our King Air program, which has been gaining traction over the last year or so. The success of the King Air program has widened the services Apex Aviation has to offer the aviation community, helping to make Apex Aviation a true “One Stop Shop.”
