Henderson and North Las Vegas, Nevada
Our Creed: Integrity. Commitment. Quality. Results.
Apex Aviation is the only facility at the Henderson Executive Airport offering aircraft maintenance, avionics, repair, and modifications. And it is a company with a bright future.
Leadership and Growth.
Scott Bullock is President and CEO. It is his leadership and vision of strategic growth, which sets Apex apart from the competition. With the help of loyal employees and fellow jet techs, Dan Littau and Ed Marrufo, Apex has grown by leaps and bounds.
Founded in March 2014, Apex started with a 6,000-square foot facility and three employees. Today, a staff of 33 employees works in the beautiful state-of-the-art 40,000+ square foot, Henderson facility (KHND). Especially relevant are a beautiful reception area, private pilots lounge, free wi-fi, TV, and a coffee station. The North Las Vegas Airport location adds a further 25,000 square feet of space.
In 2015, Apex Aviation acquired the assets of Kings Avionics-Henderson and retained its employees. In April 2016, Apex purchased Honest Air of Boulder City and moved their operation to the Henderson Executive Airport facility. As a result, the King Air maintenance and avionics technicians from all three companies merged to form the exemplary King Air Specialty Team we have today.
Scope of Operations.
Apex Aviation is a FAA certified Part 145 Repair Station. It services turbine, piston, turboprop, and rotorcraft aircraft. This “one-stop shop” saves customer’s time by providing aircraft maintenance, avionics, repairs, and modifications under one roof. The list of aircraft maintenance and repair services provided by Apex Aviation is impressive. It includes major overhauls, cosmetic, warranty, air conditioning, and avionics upgrades and new installations.
The Technicians at Apex work on every make and model of aircraft including Beechcraft, Cessna, Piper, Mooney, Challenger, Lear Jet, Eclipse, Extra, Waco and various rotorcraft. The King Air Team is by far the best qualified in the Southwest.
The Henderson location has five service hangars, three at 6,000 sq. ft. each, one 5,000 sq. ft. and one 12,000 sq. ft. hangar. It is equipped to handle aircraft as big as the Bombardier Global Express Jet. The North Las Vegas location services smaller aircraft and all Robinson Helicopters. (Robinson Helicopters are used for tours of the Las Vegas Strip and the Grand Canyon).
Bullock believes investing in human resources by sending Technicians to school for factory training.
“This factory training is an essential component of being an FAA certified Part 145 Repair Station, doing the job right, and to the future of Apex,” said Bullock.
His strategy is to have factory trained Leads for most of the aircraft and then cross train & utilize the technicians as needed.
With Apex Aviation’s premier maintenance facilities and expert technicians, the company is now poised to expand its Part 25 aircraft services to include aircraft maintenance contracts with fractional air carriers and other charter companies. Growing the aircraft management side of the business is also on the horizon.
